Women & Wine
A guided tour in French and English out of Bordeaux…

The Médocaines are causing a lot of buzz again – they have added a new dimension to wine tourism in Bordeaux by inviting visitors to their Domains during harvest time.
The Médocaines were started by four Bordeaux women winegrowers in 2006. This dynamic group of friends decided to offer very unusual wine tours where visitors could really get behind the scenes and experience the real workings of château wine making.
Florence, Armelle, Marie-Laure and Martine are convinced that wine tourism is the future of Bordeaux, so they open their properties all year round. Visitors enjoy taking customized workshops where they can experience every aspect of wine making, including the harvest, blending and even bottling. Of course, great food and wine are in constant supply, and great friendships are formed as participants make wine together.
Extending the joy of the Médocaines experience, visitors can buy a gift box that contains a bottle of wine from each vineyard, plus a recipe book that matches the wines to cuisine. This is a great way to take home these wonderful ‘feminine’ Médoc wines and share them with your friends.
